This San Diego engagement session in the heart of Balboa Park features a lovely couples engagement photos centered around the architecture.

Avani reached out and had a clear vision about her engagement photos, she wanted lots of classic columns, interesting architecture and gardens to highlight their traditonal Indian outfits. Since they were both coming in from Kentucky, I immediatley suggested Balboa Park which checked all the boxes. Specifically, the Organ Pavilion, the Alcatraz Garden, and the “Wishing Well”!

We also incorporated a second outfit, which we did halfway through our session, which was perfect since they opted for the 2 hour package. This session was actually a morning session, which worked out in our favor since it was a bit gloomy it created a more “clean” look. I normally shoot here closer to evening/sundown which can make the columns appear more on the warm/yellow side, which is totally fine, but for the vision she had it worked in our favor. The sun did start peaking out and becoming more direct sunlight but nonetheless we managed to create some amazing images.
