Glamis Sand Dunes Engagement

Heading out to the Glamis Sand Dunes is always a daytrip adventure for me. Since I’m located in North San Diego County my route travels through the back hill mountains, grasslands, and Ocotillo Wells, so it’s always a pleasant scenic route!

I met Charlene and Camilo (their first time visiting the dunes) for their engagement session in the middle of what seems nowhere, and we were greeted with the rolling hills of soft pillow sand dunes that seem to sprawl out all over the horizon.

Wind is normal for this area so I always come mentally prepared. Although the wind was pretty hectic as soon as you stepped out of the vehicle (I’m talking about sand that actually hurts when it hits your face and legs lol).

Wind can always add lots of life to images. It sways long flowy dresses, acts like a hair fan, it just overall adds lots of movement, emotion & dramatic effect which I LOVE. So, major props to my sweet couple for being so gracious and easy-going through it all.
