Glamis Dunes Intimate Elopement Wedding | Jessica + Taylor

The almost 3 hour drive through desert landscapes to get to the Imperial Sand Dunes makes it completely worth the drive when the sun starts to set a slight breeze kicks in and the rolling dunes are illuminated in golden perfection. The vastness and almost other worldly feel of looking out and seeing seas of dirt makes the heart grow fond. always feel like I’m transported to Egypt but then the loud ATV’s hauling at high speeds bring me back that we’re actually just a bit south east from San Diego.

I will note that if you plan to shoot at the Imperial Sand Dunes know that the winds can be vigorous and relentless and can sometimes even put a flat out halt to a shoot! The high winds can make for a not so good combo (eyes + swirling sand + at high speeds) yeah no thanks. But thankfully for Jessica + Taylors day everything was calm and serene.
