Beetle Rock Sequoia NP Elopement

Beetle Rock Sequoia National Park Elopement

McKenzie + Landon

This intimate elopement at Sequoia’s Beetle Rock was filled with an amazing group celebrating the sweetest couple, towering Sequoias, and an amazing sunset to wrap up the evening.

I so love each time I get to shoot in Sequoia National Park, it’s a guaranteed good time and I always know I’m going to walk away with stunning photos due to so many awesome locations within the park.

This elopement was scheduled for the end of summer, which is pretty peak season! When McKenzie had initially reached out, I mentioned how it’s a super busy season during the summer and she should be aware that it’ll have a few different factors to work around. I always encourage elopements to be scheduled Mon-Friday to avoid the weekend foot traffic. However, due to some attending guests schedules we landed on Sunday, instead of Saturday, -of course not ideal during peak season, but a smidge better than Saturday. This just meant we would have to schedule in a bit more time to get around, since some locations are only accessible via Shuttle. Over all, since we anticipated this, we had an amazing and easy day!

We started off with getting ready images at the Airbnb, from here we would have to drive up separately so they could have a first look in the park. This meant we’d have to navigate a blind folded Landon onto the shuttle to get dropped off at our “First Look” location, the Fallen Buttress tree. We successfully pulled that off, and we dived into portraits, and also had a few moments for McKenzie and Landon to share their personal vows privately, before meeting back up with everyone for the ceremony at Beetle Rock.

The whole day was buzzing with good energy and loving support from their circle, it was such a great day. Check it out below! xx
