This Mount Laguna elopement was so fun to be apart of, Katelynn and James reached out about a year in advance to plan their elopement, (which included planning from out of state), of course I’m from the area so I was able to help and plan accordingly! They planned on having an intimate ceremony in the mountain area of San Diego, (Mt Laguna) with just their closest friends and family, followed by a larger reception the following day in downtown San Diego.

We started off coverage at their getting ready hotel, the Marriot. Katelynn’s room overlooked the Coronado bridge, a full room with lots of good energy and Taylor Swift playing in the background. A few floors apart, James was hanging out with some buddies while getting ready and having a good time before it was time to head out.

Our ceremony location that I had previously scouted and recommended was about an hours drive away into the mountains. Once we arrived I made sure to set up a first look for Katelynn and James, while having their family hold back for a few minutes.

We dived into the ceremony portion, followed by portraits with guests and family, then the 3 of us, continued into portraits and exploring the area including Kwaaymii Point where we finished off the evening.
