Sequoia National Park + Crescent Meadow Elopement

This Sequoia National Park Elopement at Crescent Meadows was so beautiful! A lot of my couples who reach out for an elopement are usually planning from out of state and have never actually been to the park, which of course can feel daunting. Since I have so much experience with this park, this is where I step up in planning, help, and recommendations.

Marissa and Austin, had actually never been to the park, and decided to start their adventures early by driving all the way from Illinois! The rest of the family flew in and met them in Three Rivers.

The day unfolded beautifully, we started with getting ready images at their beautiful Airbnb, and a first look with Dad on the property. Then off we went! We made it to the Beetle Rock parking lot, except it was drizzling and completely foggy, with very little visibility.

The original plan was to have the ceremony over at Beetle Rock, but since it was so foggy it didn’t make sense for them to be washed out in complete white for photos. So I recommended we have there ceremony at one of my favorite locations, and at least we’d have some Giant Sequoias as a backdrop. I reminded them that this was apart of the adventure and everything would work out! As the ceremony continued, things definitely started to work out for us, the fog slowly dissipated to where we could actually see more than a few feet in front of us, the drizzle came to a halt, and we had some light! A win is a win.

The sun even tried to peek out as we were exploring and continuing with portraits at Crescent Meadow. In the end we were able to make the most of it. That’s what keeps adventure elopements so interesting and fun, I’ve done numerous elopements at Sequoia and yet they are never the same!
