Jedediah Smith Redwoods Elopement

Jedediah Smith Redwoods Elopement

Jean + Seth

This Jedediah Smith Redwoods elopement was such a fun and beautiful day filled with large redwoods, magic forest vibes, and epic coastal shots!

Jean and Seth had reached out mentioning that this would be one of their first big trips together and wanted to take the opportunity to get married in this Northern California region. She envisioned sharing their vows amongst the redwoods, a short hike, and looking for rocks along the coast.

We had so much fun brainstorming and I had a great time doing research and looking into what was possible for us. I also had previously visited this Redwoods/coast area so I already had a great understanding of what to expect.

I met Jean and Seth at their airbnb rental which was tucked away in a lovely grove of trees. They got ready separately, and then it was time for their first look right on the property.

We made our way to our trail head, and carefully hiked down to our ceremony spot. After finding a spot, that felt right, they exchanged their private vows and we had a lovely time exploring and taking photos around Stout Grove! There was lots of breaks so Jean could warm up as it was rather chilly in the groves.

One of my favorite things about the redwoods grove is how the light trickles through the trees creating different lighting scenarios.

We then hiked back on the trail and Jean and Seth wrote out “Just Married” on their rental car. From here we made our way over to Endert’s Beach were they would have a small picnic, look for rocks, and have their first dance!

Check out their elopement day below! xx
