Kualoa Ranch Oahu Anniversary Session | Oahu Hawaii

Oahu stole my heart (but I mean, it didn’t take much). How could it not? With the warm scent of the tropics the minute you arrive, to the plumeria trees, acai galore, the lush green mountains, the pristine beaches, the fearless chickens roaming every corner (one was so bold that it hoped onto the table and started pecking at my fruit bowl!!!), the swaying palm trees, large sea turtles, and what might be the home of the nicest drivers in the whole entire universe, and not to mention the kindest humans, it’s no wonder that it has rightfully earned it’s name as paradise. Oh- and almost forgot, all the freakin DOUBLE RAINBOWS, as someone who comes from Southern California where rain is non-existent you can imagine what seeing a full bright rainbow might do to me, let alone, two whole rainbows. Bliss on Earth. I actually stayed on the North Shore which felt more like my speed and loved every second of it.

This session was everything I could have dreamed of : easy going, fun, and laid back, exactly what living here does to you. Mel + Josh just recently celebrated their first year of marriage and what better way to remember this special time in their lives (since they are currently living here on the island and finishing their schooling), than a session that captures their favorite spots on the island.

We started at sunrise and were rewarded with pink skies, swaying palm trees (like the postcards), a stunning view of the infamous Jurassic Park cliffs, and a beach all to ourselves. By the end we were splashing in the water laughing it off in the sand, and Josh and Mel casually and cliché-dly made their way to University. Not a bad way to start the morning on the island.

Warning: Images might provoke immediate wanderlust and the urge to book a flight. Look Responsibly. ALOHA
